Debbie Johnson Cheers Colt Johnson’s Pursuit of Vanessa Guerra

Colt Johnson made his way through dating on Season 1 of The Single Life. Finding the one turned out to be a challenge for the man living at home with his mom, Debbie Johnson.

This is because he knows Vanessa Guerra is the one he wants to be with. Vanessa and Colt reveal their marriage at the end of his season of the show. And Debbie was in full support after hating his first wife, Larissa Lima.

She says she loves Vanessa and is happy for her son and daughter-in-law. But months later, on the Season 2 Tell-All, things are not what they seem. Colt says marriage is difficult while living with his mom.

Meanwhile, Debbie shares a similar problem, saying that she would move out if she had the chance. She’s saving up money but needs a few thousand dollars. 90 Day Fiance alum Jesse Meester offers to give her the cash to solve the problem. But is it too late for that?

Are Mother and Son Co-Dependent?

Colt Johnson plus his wife, Vanessa Guerra, join Debbie Johnson on The Single Life Tell-All couch. Colt opens up about how much his mother relies on him.

He says his mom calls him for everything.  Debbie doesn’t agree, but Vanessa confirms what Colt says. She says it’s frustrating when he is Debbie’s go-to person for everything.

She wants some privacy with her husband. But Colt says it’s more than that. He doesn’t want to be bothered doing things for his mom. He says it was especially hard taking her to San Diego for a date while Vanessa was pregnant.

He also explains that he didn’t feel comfortable telling his mom that his wife was expecting. Sadly, Vanessa suffered a miscarriage and lost the baby.

On the 90 Day Fiance spinoff, Debbie says she plans to move out. And has no clue why her son’s so angry with her. She says, “I didn’t realize he hated me so much.” Then, she stormed off stage. Vanessa says this is typical behavior for her mother-in-law.

90 Day Fiance: Colt & Vanessa Split – Is Debbie to Blame?

Debbie Johnson just finished her turn on The Single Life. Life with Colt Johnson, we see, isn’t as dreamy as Vanessa Guerra expected. Vanessa says that she and Colt are actually separated. She says, “I’m tired of being under her roof.”

She explains that Debbie is the reason she no longer lives with them. Colt explains that she hasn’t been living with them for three weeks now. But bear in mind this taped a while back. And there’s been no word of them continuing the split and no divorce case filed.

Vanessa says Debbie’s reliance on him is non-stop. Even though they’ve made it clear they need space.  Her breaking point was when she lost her baby. Colt hasn’t made amends with Debbie. So, did he choose Vanessa and the mother-son co-dependence is done?
